'A truly staggering year for Team Miena'

With 2024 well under way and summer coming, we just wanted to take a moment to look back at last year!

2023 was important for us here at Miena’s for lots of reasons. But there was without doubt one stand-out highlight for all of us at Team Miena. That was, of course, our truly staggering successes at the Blas Na HEireann #IrishFoodAwards.

Not only were we named ‘Best In Leinster’ and not only was our new Salted Caramel & Cashew Nougat from the Decadent range awarded a joint gold along with the Achill Island Sea Salt Sea Salted Cashew Nougat but . . .

Yes, Miena’s Irish Handmade Nougat was named overall Best Artisan Producer. This just blew all of us away and we are so proud still! We are thrilled every time we see our gorgeous trophy.

And I personally want to thank my amazing team for this and for all their hard work! I also want to again thank my fabulous husband Jeanne and my two amazing kids Hannah and Ethan.

I also want to mention the team at Blas again! YOU ARE AMAZING! Artie and all of you deserve huge credit for the hard work you do all year and your continued support of Irish food producers. It is truly invaluable and I think I speak for the whole industry when I say that.
